Brief
The Public Works Improvement Act of 1984 establishes a National Council on Public Works Improvement to prepare annual reports on the state of the Nation's infrastructure. The council is composed of five members and shall convene its first meeting by February 15, 1985. The council's duties include analyzing public works improvements, their financing methods, and trends in such financing; assessing the capacity of public works improvements to sustain economic development; and providing an analysis of infrastructure program priorities. The Congressional Budget Office is required to review each Infrastructure Report submitted to Congress by the Council.
