The Migration (Sponsorship Fees) Act 2007 is an Act that makes payable certain fees paid in relation to sponsorship of applicants for temporary visas, and for related purposes. The Act was assented to on June 28, 2007.

This Act may be cited as the Migration (Sponsorship Fees) Act 2007. It commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

The Act applies to a fee paid if: (a) the fee was paid for the sponsorship of an applicant for a temporary visa; and (b) the application was made on or after 1 May 1997 and before 24 May 2007; and (c) the fee was purportedly paid under regulation 5.38 of the Migration Regulations 1994.

The fee is taken to have been payable at the time the fee was paid.

The Act relates to temporary visas, sponsorship fees, and other related purposes.
