The Magistrates' Retirement Parity Act of 1987 amends title 5, United States Code, to provide enhanced retirement credit for United States magistrates. The Act defines "magistrate" and specifies annuity calculations and deductions for bankruptcy judges and United States magistrates. It also allows immediate retirement after 62 years of age with 5 years of service or after 60 years of age with 10 years of service as a magistrate or bankruptcy judge. This Act takes effect on October 1, 1987.
