Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009

An Act to amend laws, and deal with transitional matters, in connection with the Fair Work Act 2009 , and for other purposes

This Act may be cited as the Fair Work (Transition al Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 .

Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1 Repeals

Work 1 Sections 3 to 18 Repeal the sections. 2 Parts 2 to 23 Repeal the Parts. 3 Schedules 2 to 9 Repeal the Schedules.

Schedule 2—Overarching Schedule about transitional matters

Part 1 —Interpretation of the transitional Schedules

What are the transitional Schedules?
The transitional Schedules are the following (including any regulations made for the purposes of any of the following):
(a) this Schedule; and
(b) Schedules 2 to 22, other than:
(i) Part 3 of Schedule 6; and
(ii) Parts 1, 2 and 3 of Schedule 17; and
(iii) items 21 to 22 of Schedule 18; and
(iv) Parts 1 to 8 of Schedule 22.

Instrument content rules: (a) in Schedule 3: see subitem 4(2) of Schedule 3; and (b) in Schedule 3A: see subitem 10(2) of Schedule 3A.
