The Administration of Labour Market Development Services Divestiture Regulations are made under the Public Service Superannuation Act and the Financial Administration Act. The regulations aim to provide a framework for the divestiture of labour market development services from the federal government to provincial governments. Key provisions include the application of certain sections of the Public Service Superannuation Act, survivor and children benefits, adaptation of subsection 10(5) of the Act, and pensionable service calculation. These regulations came into force on April 1, 1997.
