The Administration and Enforcement (Assisted Human Reproduction Act) Regulations outline the rules for assisted human reproduction in Canada. The regulations define key terms such as "donor", "common-law partner", and "designated officer". They also specify requirements for serving notice and obtaining consent from donors, including the need for written consent and the provision of information about the application process. In cases where it is impossible to obtain donor consent, the designated officer may direct an inspector to dispose of forfeited sperm, ova, or in vitro embryos after a 180-day period. The regulations come into force on June 10, 2019, in accordance with section 45 of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act.
