The Act to Combat International Terrorism aims to combat international terrorism by providing rewards for information leading to the arrest or conviction of individuals involved in terrorist acts against United States persons or property. The Attorney General may grant rewards up to $500,000 and authorize participation in the witness security program. The Secretary of State may also pay rewards for information leading to the prevention or resolution of international terrorism affecting a United States person or property.
