Brief

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1991 is a public law that amends the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to strengthen it and for other purposes. The law provides funding for programs to help children with disabilities, including those on Indian reservations, and requires states to have in place early intervention services for infants and toddlers with disabilities. It also establishes a Federal Interagency Coordinating Council to minimize duplication of programs and activities relating to early intervention services and preschool services.
