Brief

This Act provides for the payment of fees in respect of works licences under the Offshore Minerals Act 1994. The Act requires works licence holders to pay a fee calculated at a prescribed rate for each hectare or part of a hectare of the works area. The fee is payable annually, with a penalty for late payment. The Act also provides for the recovery of fees and penalties debts due to the Commonwealth.
