“We have to create spaces…” – Children’s books and human rights

Summary:

The German Institute for Human Rights has published a document in December 2023 that explores the connections between children's and human rights in current children's and young adult literature. The report aims to contribute to the debate on increasing diversity in children's and young adult literature, not only in book selection but also in their application in educational contexts. A workshop will be held on May 27th to present the report's findings and recommendations.
