On 17 July, we honour the memory of the 298 innocent people, including 80 children, of 17 nationalities who lost their lives in the downing of ‘Malaysia Airlines’ Flight MH17 ten years ago. On 24 June 2024, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2024/17951. The Decision amends Decision 2011/235/CFSP in order to facilitate principled humanitarian action by impartial humanitarian actors in Iran. The Decision introduces humanitarian exceptions that exempt certain organisations and agencies acting as humanitarian partners of the Union from the prohibition to make funds or economic resources
