Raising the Roof: China’s New Standards for Better Living Spaces

"On March 31, China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released new national standards for residential projects. These new standards are effective on May 1 and cover seven key aspects including general principles, basic regulations, and building equipment. They also include enhanced requirements for ceiling height, elevators, and sound insulation, marking a significant upgrade from the existing standards since 2012.
