On January 9, 2025, the European Banking Authority (EBA) launched a public consultation on its draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) to clarify and enhance conditions for assessing material model changes. The EBA aims to align existing RTS with amendments brought by the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR 3), while introducing enhancements to improve supervisory effectiveness of approval processes for model changes, with responses due by March 10, 2025.
