Brief

The Strengthening Coastal Communities Act of 2018 amends the Coastal Barrier Resources Act to give effect to more accurate maps of units in the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System that were produced by digital mapping. The act requires the replacement of outdated maps with new, digitally created maps. Additionally, it makes available online digital versions of the maps for public access.
