The Protection of the Sea (Imposition of Contributions to Oil Pollution Compensation Fundsu2014General) Act 1993 is an Act that imposes contributions payable under the Protection of the Sea (Oil Pollution Compensation Funds) Act 1993, except for duties of customs or duties of excise. The Act commences on the same date that Chapter 1 of the Protection of the Sea (Oil Pollution Compensation Funds) Act 1993 commences. The Act also includes provisions for the application of certain sections of the Protection of the Sea (Oil Pollution Compensation Funds) Act 1993 to the current Act. Additionally, the Act includes provisions for the imposition of contributions and for the non-imposition of taxes on property of a State.
