National Fish and Wildlife Founda­tion Establishment Act 1984

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Establishment Act was signed into law on March 26, 1984. This act establishes a charitable and nonprofit corporation that aims to encourage private gifts for the benefit of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and to conserve and manage fish, wildlife, and plant resources. The foundation is governed by a board of directors consisting of nine members, including six knowledgeable in fish and wildlife conservation and three educated in management principles. The act also provides for administrative services and support from the Department of the Interior.
