'The International Labour Organisation Act 1973 No. 62, 1973 is an Act relating to the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation. The Act was assented to on June 18, 1973.
The amendments of the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation made by instruments of amendment adopted by the General Conference of the Organisation are approved. The ratification of these amendments is also approved.
The Act includes schedules that provide for the amendment of the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation. Schedule 1 contains an instrument for the amendment of the Constitution, while Schedules 2-6 contain additional amendments to the Constitution.
The Act provides for the preparation and authentication of official texts of the amended Constitution by the Director-General of the International Labour Office. Copies of these texts are deposited in the archives of the International Labour Office and communicated to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for registration with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.
The formal ratifications or acceptances of this Instrument of Amendment shall be communicated to the Director -General of the International Labour Office, who shall notify the Members of the Organisation of the receipt thereof. This Instrument of Amendment will come into force in accordance with the provisions of Article 36 of the Constitution of the Organisation.'
This Act relates to the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation and includes amendments made by instruments adopted by the General Conference of the Organisation. The Act approves these amendments and provides for their ratification.
