Information for hospital blood banks during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

The submission of blood compliance reports by hospital blood banks is required by 30 April following the reporting year. The MHRA will apply flexibility for those requiring extra time to submit, with a deadline for notification before 30 April. Changes in traceability processes and timelines may be made due to COVID-19, but risk assessments and documentation are necessary to ensure no adverse impact. Notifying serious adverse reactions and events via SABRE is expected as soon as possible, with prioritization of critical issues.
