The Forestry Act is an Act respecting forestry development and research in Canada. This Act may be cited as the Forestry Act. The Minister of Natural Resources has various functions under this Act, including conducting research relating to forest resources, providing advice on forest protection and management, and establishing Forest Experimental Areas. Regulations can be made for the protection and management of lands within these areas, and contravention of these regulations can result in a fine or imprisonment. An officer may seize any article by means of or in relation to which an offence under this Act has been committed.
