FAQ on Biosafety Stewardship Month

The National Biosafety Stewardship Month is a new initiative to promote stewardship of life sciences and biosafety awareness. In 2015, NIH encouraged participating institutions to focus on sustaining and enhancing a culture of safety/responsibility in life science research laboratories. The thematic elements include training, engagement, transparency, and highlighting successes through a safe and ethical framework. National Biosafety Stewardship Month is held in October 2015, and participation by Federally funded institutions is voluntary.
