Brief

The Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2014, also known as the DATA Act, aims to increase accountability and transparency in Federal spending. The Act expands the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 by requiring direct Federal agency expenditures and linking contract, loan, and grant spending information to programs.
