The Customs Licensing Charges Act 1997 is an Act that imposes charges in relation to the licensing of depots, warehouses and customs brokers under the Customs Act 1901. The Act may be cited as the Customs Licensing Charges Act 1997 and commences at the same time as item 25 of Schedule 1 to the Customs Amendment Act (No. 1) 1997.
The Act defines various terms including "broker's licence", "cargo report", "commencement day" and "Comptroller-General of Customs". It also imposes charges for depot, warehouse and customs broker licences, as well as regulations that govern their licensing.
