Brief

'The Constitution Alteration (Social Services) Act 1946' provides for the empowerment of the Parliament to make laws related to social services. The act includes provisions for maternity allowances, widows' pensions, child endowment, unemployment benefits, pharmaceutical and sickness benefits, medical and dental services, benefits to students, and family allowances. The alteration to the Constitution, as per section fifty-one, authorizes these social services while excluding any form of civil conscription. This amendment aims to provide necessary support to citizens in need, improving their overall well-being.
