Business Names Registration (Transitional and Consequential Provisions) Act 2011

This Act deals with transitional and consequential provisions in connection with the Business Names Registration Act 2011. The Act applies to business names registered on change-over day or held on change-over day to resolve outstanding matters.

• The Act provides for the registration of business names under the Business Names Registration Act 2011.
• It establishes a transitional period during which businesses must notify ASIC of their intention to carry on a business under a particular name.
