The Budget Implementation Act, 1999 is a Canadian federal statute that implements certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 16, 1999. The Act consists of nine parts, each addressing various aspects of taxation and public finance. Part 1 deals with the Canada Health and Social Transfer, making amendments to the Federal-Provincial Fiscal Arrangements Act, the Canada Health Act, and the Nunavut Act. Part 2 concerns public sector pensions, making amendments to related Acts. Part 3 addresses human resources management, also amending existing laws. Parts 4-6 cover administration of public moneys, Canada child tax benefit, and goods and services tax credit, respectively, with various amendments to existing legislation.
