Brief
The Budget Implementation Act, 1995 was enacted on June 22, 1995, to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 27, 1995. This Act may be cited as the Budget Implementation Act, 1995. The Act comprises four parts: Compensation, Management of Labour, Transportation Matters, and Fiscal Arrangements and Other Matters. Part III of the Act makes amendments to the National Transportation Act, 1987, while Part IV makes amendments to several Acts, including the Canada Health Act and the Financial Administration Act. Additionally, the Act enacts the Western Grain Transition Payments Act set out in Schedule II.
