The Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability Act, enacted on March 23, 2020, aims to improve broadband deployment accuracy and technological availability in the United States. The act requires the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to issue rules relating to data collection with respect to broadband services. It establishes a broad set of definitions for key terms and creates new requirements for providers of broadband internet access service, including biannual reporting of granular data on the availability and quality of service.
