Brief

The Aircraft Objects Regulations were made on April 10, 2008, under the authority of the Bank Act. The regulations exempt aircraft objects from sections 426 to 436 of the Bank Act for a certain period. Specifically, aircraft objects that were not registered under those sections before the effective date of the regulations are exempt. Additionally, five years after the regulations come into force, sections 426 to 436 of the Bank Act will cease to apply to aircraft objects that were previously registered under those sections. The regulations came into effect on a day yet specified in the International Interests in Mobile Equipment (aircraft equipment) Act.
