Brief

The Administrative and Technical Staff of the Embassy of the United States and Families Duty and Tax Relief Privileges Order was made by the Governor General in Council on July 21, 1993.

This Order extends duty and tax relief privileges to members of the administrative and technical staff of the Embassy of the United States and their families who are residing in Canada. The privileges are subject to subsection (2), which excludes nationals or permanent residents of Canada from receiving these benefits. This Order is made pursuant to subsection 4(2) of the Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act.
