'The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2024 aims to modify the list of Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State of Andhra Pradesh. The proposed amendment seeks to add two new entries, "Porja, Bondo Porja, Khond Porja, Parangiperja" and "Savaras, Kapu Savaras, Maliya Savaras, Konda Savaras, Khutto Savaras", to the list of Scheduled Tribes in Andhra Pradesh. The Bill is introduced by the Minister of Tribal Affairs and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Arjun Munda, in the Rajya Sabha on February 5, 2024. The amendment is proposed after consultation with the Registrar General of India and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes. The Bill seeks to achieve the objects of modifying the list of Scheduled Tribes in Andhra Pradesh by amending the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.'
