The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Act, 2021 aims to amend the list of Scheduled Tribes in relation to the State of Arunachal Pradesh. The proposed amendments include deleting 'Abor' from serial number 1 and replacing it with 'Adi', inserting 'Tai Khamti' instead of 'Khampti' at serial number 6, including 'Mishmi-Kaman (Miju Mishmi)', 'Idu (Mishmi)', and 'Taraon (Digaru Mishmi)' in lieu of 'Mishmi, Idu, Taroan', adding 'Monpa', 'Memba', 'Sartang', and 'Sajolang (Miji)' in lieu of 'Momba' at serial number 9, and replacing 'Any Naga tribes' with 'Nocte', 'Tangsa', 'Tutsa', and 'Wancho' at serial number 10. The amendments are proposed based on the recommendations of the State of Arunachal Pradesh to modify Part-XVIII of the Schedule to the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950 relating to the State.
