Brief

The European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2563 amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1646 to improve national risk-based control plans and randomised surveillance plans. This regulation updates requirements for Member States, including specifying additional content for these plans, submitting them to the Commission, and transmitting data to the European Food Safety Authority. The main purpose of this regulation is to enhance the effectiveness of official controls and ensure a high level of protection for human health and safety, animal health, and plant health within the EU. This regulation applies from 1 January 2025.
