Commission Implementing Regulation on the functioning of the Electronic Interface pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2023 on the making available on the Union market and the export from the Union of certain commodities and products associated with deforestation and forest degradation and repealing Regulation (EU) No 995/2010

The European Commission is establishing rules for the functioning of the Electronic Interface under the deforestation-free products regulation. This system will facilitate data exchange between national customs systems and the EU’s information system to ensure compliance with regulations on commodities linked to deforestation and forest degradation. Falling under the Environment policy area, this implementing regulation is currently in preparation and is expected to be adopted in Q3 2025.
