Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/678 of 1 April 2025 amending lists of third countries from which the import of animals and products of animal origin is allowed

The Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2563 amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1646 to clarify and update requirements for national risk-based control plans and surveillance plans. The regulation aims to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting non-compliant residues, sampling frequencies, and follow-up measures taken by competent authorities. This amendment affects Member States' compliance obligations, particularly with regards to submitting control plans and data to the Commission and EFSA. The new regulation applies from January 1, 2025, and is intended to improve food safety controls and consistency in reporting non-compliant residues.
