On 20/03/2025, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) issued an update regarding a Vietnam-born man charged with alleged visa breach in Queensland. The man, 29, was located in Brisbane by the AFP and charged with one count of failing to report as required, contrary to section 76B of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth). This offence carries a maximum penalty of five years' imprisonment and/or a $93,900 fine. He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
