"On 07 November 2023, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment issued an update regarding Update on the FRAP 2021/2022 appeals process: Hake Longline (HLL) sector. The Minister's decisions on appeals were published, with new entrants being introduced to broaden access to the fishing industry and promote transformation, resulting in a reduction of total allowable catch (TAC) for category A applicants."
