On 04/09/2025, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an update regarding Two EMAS Systems Successfully Stop Aircraft in Separate Incidents. The incidents occurred at Chicago Executive Airport and Boca Raton Airport, where Gulfstream G150 and Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft overran runways and were safely stopped by installed Engineered Materials Arresting Systems (EMAS). No serious injuries were reported in either incident, highlighting the lifesaving value of EMAS technology.
