"On April 10, 2025, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) issued an update regarding The Member State of residence of a requested person cannot refuse to execute a European arrest warrant in order to ensure that person’s presence when the criminal proceedings are resumed". This judgment was made in Case C-481/23 | [Sangas] and concerns the execution of a European arrest warrant for tax evasion offences affecting the economic interests of Spain.
