On 07/05/2025, the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) issued an update regarding The CRE approves the “fast track” connection procedure to connect large power consumption sites to the very high voltage network (400 kV) of RTE. This approval aims to accelerate the connection process for industrial and digital projects, such as data centers, to improve competitiveness and attractiveness in France. The "fast track" procedure allows for accelerated connection without capacity limitations on selected government-identified sites by 2028-2029.
