On December 31, 2024, the Superintendence of Private Insurance (Superintendência de Seguros Privados – SUSEP) issued an update regarding The complementary law that provided for the SPVAT was revoked. This revocation renders obsolete all prior deliberations on regulating the Seguro Obrigatório para Proteção de Vítimas de Acidentes de Trânsito (SPVAT). The new law, complemented by Lei Complementar 211, assumes full effect immediately upon publication in the Official Diary of the Union.
