Ten workers rescued from slave-like working conditions in Rio Grande do Sul

"On December 20, a coordinated operation by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, with support from the Public Prosecutor's Office and Federal Highway Police, rescued ten workers in conditions akin to slavery in Arvorezinha, Rio Grande do Sul. The workers were employed in a poultry farm, tasked with catching and packaging chickens for transportation to a slaughterhouse, and had been subjected to poor living conditions, inadequate food, and excessive working hours."
