On 01/26/2023, the State Council's revised "Provisions on Reporting Standards for Concentration of Operators" took effect. This new standard has resulted in a significant decrease in reported concentration of operators, with 580 cases received by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) over the past 10 months, representing a 17.4% year-on-year decline. The average review time was 26.6 days, with simplified cases taking an average of 17.5 days, including a 10-day public notice period. This efficiency has placed China among the top in global antitrust jurisdictions.
