"On July 9, 2025, the European Data Protection Board issued an update regarding Targeted modifications of the GDPR: EDPB & EDPS welcome simplification of record keeping obligations and request further clarifications. The Proposal aims to simplify EU rules and reduce administrative burden for SMEs and SMCs by extending derogation from record-keeping obligation and introducing definitions for SME and SMC, with a threshold of fewer than 750 employees."
