Suspension of deadlines for submission of Unionist Priority documents in Hague Agreement designations

Summary:

A recent delay in IPAS DI system implementation has affected the notification of designations received by the INPI through the Hague Agreement. To avoid exceeding the 90-day deadline for presenting Union Priority documents, the INPI published Portaria INPI nu00b0 02, suspending the deadline for submission of Union Priority documents in Haag Agreement designations from January 23, 2024, to February 29, 2024. The countdown will resume on March 1, 2024. Additionally, designations that reported the WIPO-DAS code, allowing access to Union Priority documents through the OMPI system, are exempt from submitting proof documents, as per Article 9, u00a72 of Portaria INPI/PR nu00b0 25, dated July 3, 2023.
