"On 02/04/2025, the Federal Public Ministry (Ministério Público Federal – MPF) issued an update regarding Supreme follows MPF's opinion and determines the end of routine vexatious intimate magazines in Brazilian prisons. The Supreme Court ruled that intimate body searches are unacceptable and only allowed in exceptional circumstances, and states have 24 months to acquire metal detectors and scanners for prison units."
