Brief
Summary:
On Monday, 18 March 2024, the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) concluded its investigation into allegations concerning Ms Katie Joyner, a Director at the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI). The allegations, made by Mr Alister Henskens SC MP on 8 February 2024, suggested that Ms Joyner misused official information about the Transport Orientated Development (TOD) Scheme for personal financial gain, as well as engaged in corrupt conduct by advising other landowners to sell their properties to developers. Following an investigation, which included reviewing records, conducting interviews, and forensic reviews, the Commission found no evidence of corrupt conduct and has closed the investigation, determining that Ms Joyner or any other person did not engage in corrupt activity.
