Six individuals were sentenced to a combined maximum term of 43 years' imprisonment for their involvement in a serious organised crime syndicate that used labour hire and payroll companies to defraud the Commonwealth. The operation, known as Operation Bordelon, involved a tiered structure of corporate entities providing labour hire services, which siphoned off money allocated for tax remittance.
