"On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the Sospan Dau dredging vessel returns to Pevensey Bay for its annual shingle replenishment exercise. The specialist ship will transport approximately 30,000 tonnes of shingle, dredged offshore near Littlehampton, and deposit it along the coast to protect over 3,000 homes and businesses from coastal flooding."
