On December 31, 2024, the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) issued an update regarding Revenue publishes regulation that deals with the additional Social Contribution on Net Income for large multinational companies. The new measure aims to implement a minimum effective tax rate of 15% in accordance with MP 1262 and Lei 15079, which aim to adapt Brazilian legislation to Global Anti-Base Erosion Rules (GloBE) regulations.
