"On February 13, 2025, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) issued an update regarding Results of the 7th Japan-China Maritime Policy Forum - Ensuring a fair competitive environment in the maritime sector and strengthening Japan-China cooperation in environmental measures. The forum aimed to share common understanding between Japan and China on eliminating protectionist measures in international shipping, promoting rational regulations for environmental safety, and discussing long-term fleet planning to prevent excessive shipbuilding."
